Thickets & fence lines
Buried fence lines, overgrown corners, and brush that has not been touched in years. We open the ground so you can use it again.
Forestry mulching · Marysville
Grind blackberry, brush, and small alder into wood chips on your lot. No burn pile on typical jobs. Chips stay to break down — or we haul some out. From $1,200. Small jobs welcome.
The method
Forestry mulching means we grind standing brush, Himalayan blackberry, and small trees into wood chips right where they grow. A spinning mulching head on a compact track loader does the work. You walk the lot when we’re done — chips underfoot instead of a slash pile waiting to burn.
Cut-and-haul means stacking brush, loading trucks, and dumping somewhere else. Burn piles mean smoke, neighbors, and fire risk. Mulching skips both on typical residential jobs: material is ground in place and left as mulch. That matches how we talk about land clearing on this site — reclaim usable ground without excavation or grading.
Most homeowners leave the chips. They break down and help the soil. If you want less depth in a path or patio edge, we can load some into our dump trailer and haul it off. Same idea as our FAQ on hauling mulch.

Himalayan blackberry that took the yard. Canes go; crowns may resprout — honest follow-up is normal. Deep dive on our blackberry clearing page.
Young alder mixed into brush, yes. Commercial timber harvest and large trees, no — we flag keepers and point big wood to arborists.
Lighter yearly grass and weeds may only need a brush hog / brush clearing pass. When growth is a wall, the mulching head is the right tool.

The compact track loader arrives on a trailer. A standard gate and a firm place to unload usually work. Soft ground or a tight opening? Tell us up front — we figure the path together. More on access in the FAQ.
